St. Francis Medical Center and Southeast Missouri Hospital, in cooperation with the Cape Girardeau County Chapter of the American Diabetes Association, will present a "Summer Fun Fair" for people with diabetes Thursday, June 1.

The event will begin at 7 p.m. in Conference Rooms C and D of the St. Francis Health and Education Center.

"The Summer Fun Fair will be an evening of exhibitors and booths providing helpful tips for people with diabetes to help them thoroughly enjoy the summertime," St. Francis diabetes nurse educator Amy Ward said.

Those attending the fair should wear casual clothes and comfortable shoes, Ward said. Refreshments will be provided.

Although the event is free, preregistration is encouraged through the St. Francis Education Department, 339-6107.
