The Kiwanis Club of Cape Girardeau has received the Kiwanis International Foundation's Honor Club Banner. The club will present 32 Table of Honor awards at its installation of officers Oct. 3.

The Honor Club Banner program began in July 1997. It recognizes Kiwanis clubs that excell in membership, total number of Tablet of Honor recipients and George F. Hixson Fellows.

The Kiwanis Club Foundation provides funds to fight iodine dificiency disorders, provide grants to needy children's organizations and disaster relief programs, in addition to support of Kiwanis' own programs.
