A man who allegedly threatened to kill his girlfriend was charged with domestic assault Wednesday.

Danny Bierschwal, 36, of Risco, Mo., is accused of waving a knife in front of his 38-year-old girlfriend and her two teenage sons around 10 p.m. Tuesday in Cape Girardeau, police Cpl. Jason Selzer said.

"I will slice your throat if you ever leave me," Bierschwal told the woman, according to Selzer. He later allegedly threw a chair at the woman.

Police arrested Bierschwal, who was later charged with felony domestic assault and had bond set at $2,500, cash only.
