Police continued Tuesday to investigate a reported armed robbery that was reported at a local convenience store the night before.
Workers at the Quick-N-Save, 2861 N. Themis St., told authorities that a man in his 20s entered the store at about 11:10 p.m., said Sgt. Jason Selzer, spokesman for the Cape Girardeau Police Department. The man flourished what store clerks thought was either a semiautomatic handgun or a BB gun and demanded money. The clerks complied, Selzer said, handing over an undisclosed amount of cash from the register.
Video is being retrieved from the store's security camera system and police are continuing to search for the suspect, Selzer said. No one was injured in the incident.
