People with New Year's plans that include a career change or who just want to improve or learn new skills now have help in preparing for the tests that sometimes accompany those changes.
The help is available at the Cape Girardeau Public Library through a database called LearningExpress Library. The database, which the library has subscribed to for three years, can be accessed at home with a valid Cape Girardeau Public Library card. Other practical uses include overcoming test anxiety and raising test scores.
Complete answer explanations accompany each test for understanding why a question is right or wrong.
More than 300 online practice tests are available for ages 9 to 90. From reading skills improvement to civil service tests to tests geared for students -- they're available through the library's database with just a library card.
For anyone preparing for the SAT or GED, LearningExpress Library offers a complete course series, as well as targeted essay writing practice with multiple writing prompts and instant score reports.
To learn more about the more than 300 practice tests available and how to access the database at the library or from home, visit Cape Public Library adult services or call 334-5279.
