Jeremy Ryan Freeman of Cape Girardeau has received an appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Md.
Freeman was nominated by Sen. John C. Danforth of Missouri.
He is a senior at Cape Girardeau Central High School and has been on the A honor roll throughout his high school career. He is secretary of the senior class and was one of Central High's representatives to the 1993 Missouri Scholars Academy and 1994 Missouri Boys State.
He is a varsity letterman in both football and track and is listed in Who's Who Among America's High School Students.
Freeman is a member of the National Honor Society, Letterman's Club and is vice president of the Fellowship of Christin Athletics. He is an Eagle Scout and a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church.
