Published Feb. 24, 1987. U.S. District Judge Stephen Limbaugh was back in a Cape Girardeau courtroom hearing a case. The Cape Girardeau native, whose name is closely associated with the practice of law in this city, had lived in St. Louis since taking the federal bench in July 1983. Published Feb. 16, 1987. Patrons at Wimpy's restaurant in Cape Girardeau were surprised at a timely but unscheduled appearance by Cupid on Valentine's Day. John Hill also made stops at Esicar's, Sand's Pancake House and the Fashion Rental Boutique, where he cut a ribbon marking the recent opening of the new store. Published July 17, 1992. Hershel Price, superintendent of Trail of Tears State Park, looked over the marina area along the Mississippi River. Published Feb. 27, 1987. It was the job of Trail of Tears State Park naturalist Greg Henson to make a visit to the park a more meaningful and enjoyable experience for young and old.
