The Caruthersville Police Department received a call about 6 p.m. Thursday that a man had attempted to kidnap a juvenile. While officers were en route to the scene, they were notified the suspect had fled, according to the news release.

A short time later, officers found the vehicle, conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver.
