A Frito-Lay facility in Cape Girardeau was hit by burglars twice last week.

Cape Girardeau police spokesman Darin Hickey said two trucks were broken into Monday.

"The delivery driver got to work at 4:20 a.m. and found two trucks with their driver's side windows broken out," Hickey said. "She said she worked on July 31 at 12:30 p.m. and returned to work on Aug. 1 around 4:20 a.m., so the incident happened somewhere between those times."

A similar incident then occurred Thursday.

"A delivery driver got to work on Aug. 4 at 5 a.m. and found the same situation," Hickey said. "The driver's side window was broken on his truck and the chips were missing from inside. The driver said he had been off the previous day, so that incident happened some time between midday Aug. 2 and early morning on Aug. 4."

Hickey said thieves only took cases of chips in each incident, and that the break-ins could be related due to similarities between them.

There were no suspects in custody Friday afternoon.
