CITY, TCI REACH PACT

The city of Cape Girardeau and TCI Cablevision of Missouri Inc. have reached agreement on a 10-year franchise ending years of negotiations.

City Attorney Warren Wells announced the cable television agreement at Monday night's City Council study session.

Mayor Al Spradling III said the council hasn't had a chance to look over the final agreement yet. A public hearing on the proposed agreement could be held in early June.
