Classes begin at 8 a.m. Wednesday for students in the Scott County Central School District. The bus schedule will remain unchanged from the previous year, school officials said.

New students should enroll for classes at the principal's office. Kindergarten students should bring a birth certificate, immunization records and a Social Security card when they register.

Among many new people at the school will be 12 new teachers. They include a librarian, two counselors, a speech pathologist, learning disabilities teacher, an early childhood special education teacher and aide, and three high-school teachers. A physical education teacher and boys basketball coach was also hired for this year.

Applications for the school's reduced lunch program and accident insurance will be distributed during the first day of classes.
