The 21st Biennial Convention of the Missouri District Lutheran Women's Missionary League was held June 11 through 13 at the University Plaza Hotel in Springfield, Mo. The theme was "Beautiful feet -- led by God." There were over 725 women from across in attendance. The 21st Biennial Convention of the Missouri District Lutheran Women's Missionary League was held June 11 through 13 at the University Plaza Hotel in Springfield, Mo. The theme was "Beautiful feet -- led by God." There were over 725 women from across in attendance. Those attending as delegates from the Cape Girardeau area were Eileen Schlichting, Nelda Steffen, Becky Heuer, Rosie Schwent, Ruth Boxdorfer, Helen Steffens, Amber Kuehn, Beverly Lewis and Ashley Kassel.

Convention delegates voted to accept at 2010-2012 mission goal of $335,000.

Karen Drury from Cape Girardeau was elected president.

The Missouri District of LWML is comprised of 21 zones with 274 societies. The total membership is 5,548.
