Eric Yancey, 23, of Cobden Ill., was driving a semi-tractor trailer that collided with another semi at the intersection of Illinois Route 4 and Schuline Road. Yancey and passenger Joshua Williams, 16, of Jonesboro were pronounced dead at the scene. The accident occurred at 8:15 a.m.

The Illinois State Police said the accident is under investigation. Police said Yancey's truck collided with a truck driven by Richard Van Gennip of Marble Hill as Yancey's vehicle was traveling east on Schuline and Van Gennip was going north on Route 4.
