Cape Girardeau group to hold contra dance

The Cape Friends of Traditional Music and Dance will hold a contra dance from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday at Christ Episcopal Church, 101 N. Fountain St. All moves are taught, and the dances will be walked through. Everyone is welcome; no partner, costume or experience is necessary. The requested donation is discounted for students. The second annual Southeast Area Polar Bear Plunge will begin registration at noon Saturday at Lake Boutin in Trail of Tears State Park. EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- The 2008 East Prairie Valentine Pageant is planned for 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the East Prairie High School auditorium. Mardi Gras brunch to be held by Magnolia Manor

CAIRO, Ill. -- Magnolia Manor in Cairo will host its third Mardi Gras Brunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. Boys and Girls Club to hold motown dance
