The Cape Girardeau County Chapter of AARP 4041 will meet at noon today at Grace United Methodist Church, Broadway and Caruthers Avenue, for a fellowship lunch. Members are asked to bring a salad or dessert. Fried chicken will be provided.

Nitsch reunion set for Sunday at Jackson park

The Nitsch family reunion will be at noon Sunday at Jackson City Park, shelter 4 (near Safety City). The dinner is potluck. For more information, call Lynette Moore at 243-7655.

Reunion for Halters planned at Cape Co. Park

The Halter reunion will begin with a covered dish meal at noon Sunday at Cape County Park North shelter 4. Family and friends are welcome. Call 264-4459 for more information.

Niswonger homecoming features basket dinner

The annual Niswonger Church homecoming will start at 12:30 p.m. Sunday with a basket dinner. The church is located on Highway 72 west of Millersville. Rain will move the event to Millersville Baptist Church Fellowship Room. A business meeting will be held after the meal.

Benefit planned to raise funds to replace tools

Employees of Busey Truck Equipment lost all their personal tools in the July fire at the firm's shop located in Jackson. In an effort to support the employees and help recover their losses, a benefit will be held from 6 p.m. to midnight Sept. 23 at the KC Hall in Jackson, upper level. Monetary donations or auction items are being sought. Contact Kelly Mansfield at 204-7300, Janey Foust at 243-6377 or Deeann Beine at 243-8194. Checks may be sent to Busey Truck Equipment, 1840 S. Farmington Ave., Jackson, Mo. 63755.
