BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- A Dexter woman was charged Friday with allegedly attempting to manufacture methamphetamine.
Rebecca L. Schaefer, 42, was arrested and charged with felony possession of precursors to the manufacture of methamphetamine, which carries a penalty of up to seven years in prison.
The Stoddard County Sheriff's Department received information about drug activity at Schaefer's residence, Sheriff Carl Hefner said in a news release, and deputies obtained a search warrant.
During the search, officers found items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine, including syringes and other drug paraphernalia, according to the release.
Schaefer was being held in the Stoddard County Jail on a $25,000 cash-only bond.
She will be arraigned before Judge Joe Z. Satterfield on Thursday.
