DEXTER, Mo. -- A Dexter woman faces a second-degree statutory rape charge after admittedly having sex with a 16-year-old boy.
According to a probable-cause affidavit from Prosecuting Attorney Russ Oliver, the boy, shared information of the incident at school, stating he had had sex with Larissa Hurley, 37, in her backyard Tuesday morning before school. When school officials became aware of the claim, they contacted authorities.
Hurley is in the Stoddard County Jail under a $25,000 cash-only bond.
After Dexter Police Det. Corey Mills, along with Stoddard County Juvenile Department officials, conducted an interview with the male juvenile at the school, Mills went to the Hurley home and spoke with Larissa Hurley, who reportedly admitted to the encounter, but told police she was unaware the subject was a juvenile.
Hurley reportedly told police the male subject has "led her to believe he was 17 years old." She was placed under arrest at 5:23 p.m. and was later transported to the County Jail in Bloomfield.
During the interview with the juvenile, police were reportedly shown nude images of Hurley from the 16-year-old's cellphone that he said Hurley had sent to him on the night of April 30, which would be the night before the encounter allegedly took place. The photos were confirmed to have been sent from Hurley's cellphone.
