ELLY SENIOR ATTENDS TRAINING SESSION
Emily Shanks, a senior at Kelly High School near Benton, attended a weeklong training session last month at Future Homemakers of America's National Headquarters and Leadership Center in Reston, Va. The organization's national vice-president of community service, Shanks is one of 10 student members of the National Executive Council elected in July. The national officers participated in communications workshops, received program updates and completed plans for the organization's national leadership meeting July 9-13 in Washington.
Shanks is the daughter of Brent and Jeanne Shanks.
