An election of a member to serve on the Governing Board of East Missouri Action Agency Inc. will be held Aug. 8-31. The member will represent low-income residents of Cape Girardeau County.
The election will be held at the EMAA Office, 1111 Linden.
Low-income county residents qualified through poverty guidelines or being a participant in programs operated by EMAA may participate. The programs include Head Start, weatherization, HUD housing, family planning, work experience, energy assistance and commodities.
Nominations will be accepted Aug. 1 through Aug. 5. Any low-income resident may pick up a nomination from a local EMAA Outreach Office.
