ENERGY ASSISTANCE GRANTS NOW AVAILABLE
The Cape Girardeau County Division of Family Services will begin taking applications for energy assistance grants Tuesday. Appointments for making applications can be made by calling the Division of Family Services. People who have accepted a termination notice from an energy company or who have already had heat shut off may immediately contact the Cape County office for emergency assistance. The Missouri Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program is designed to help pay heating bills of low-income families and elderly and disabled people in need of assistance during December, January, February and March.
