ST. LOUIS A family workshop, "Friends in the Rainforest," will be offered Jan. 19, 25, and 26 and Feb. 1 and 2 at the St. Louis Science Center. ST. LOUIS A family workshop, "Friends in the Rainforest," will be offered Jan. 19, 25, and 26 and Feb. 1 and 2 at the St. Louis Science Center.

The workshop features a tour of the special traveling exhibit, "Tropical Rainforests: A Disappearing Treasure," and hands-on activities to learn more about the fauna of the rainforest ecosystem. Participants will also make a creature, have a snack and hear stories of the tropical forests.

The workshop is recommended for families with children ages 5-10. Admission for one adult and one child is $15 and $6 for each additional participant.

Reservations must be made by calling 289-4464.

The workshop is part of a variety of activities scheduled with the Tropical Rainforest exhibit, which is sponsored jointly by the Missouri Botanical Garden and St. Louis Zoo.
