Angelica Sides and Brian Sides both grew up in Jackson. They both attended Jackson Schools and graduated in 1998. They both work at Sonic Drive-In in Jackson as assistant managers.

And now they're lives are getting even more closer together.

Angelica and Brian are getting married Oct. 31, 1998.

"We met through work," said Brian. "She was working at the Sonic in Cape Girardeau for my uncle, Bruce Maxwell."

When Maxwell left the Cape Girardeau Sonic, he suggested that Angelica come and work for his wife, Karen, in Jackson.

"He said I was one of his best workers and thought I should go to Jackson," said Angelica. "That's where I met Karen and Brian. Karen worked on us for a couple of years before we finally went out together."

"We had band together in school, but no other classes," said Brian. "We didn't ever really talk to one another until our last year of school."

"Everyone thinks we're related," said Angelica. "I even asked my father, but he said it would have to be something like 18th-cousins, if that at all."

And what about the Halloween wedding date?

"I said that summer weddings are too hot and winter weddings are too cold," said Brian. "I suggested something around Halloween and, since we couldn't find a better date, it just stuck."

"We're having an outdoors wedding, so I hope it doesn't snow again like it did a few years ago," said Angelica "It's also my grandmother's birthday and I think she and my grandfather were married on that date, also."
