JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Federal agents say they asked three times for a list of Missouri concealed gun permit holders but never analyzed the data for a potential investigation of disability fraud.

Personnel from the inspector general's office of the Social Security Administration testified under oath Wednesday before a Missouri Senate committee looking into the sharing of the concealed gun list.

Special Agent Keith Schilb says he got a list in late 2011 from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, but the names, birth dates and social security numbers were jumbled so he destroyed the computer disk. He says he got a password-protected list this January but couldn't open it.

Schilb says he sought a third copy of the list in February but never picked it up because supervisors decided to abandon the project.
