The Jackson Heritage Association 2005 art contest invited kindergarten through 12th-grade students to enter renditions of the historic C.H.Wolters Harness Shop at 131 Main St. in Jackson, now the Crossroads Fellowship Hall.

Located on the corner of Main and Missouri Streets, it is commonly known as the store with the horse in the window. The finalists' entries have been displayed at the Oliver House Museum at 224 E. Adams St. in Jackson during the holiday open houses. Prizes, courtesy of Bank of Missouri, for best of show and first place in each category will be awarded at 3 p.m. Jan. 8 at the Crossroads Fellowship Hall. Participants and area residents interested in viewing the students' artwork are invited to attend.

Kindergarten to second grade: Emily Smith, Jordan Vincent, Levi Kempf, Callie Englehart.

Elementary school: Nicole Glastetter, Patricia Sirgo, Ashley Medlock, Gage Hahs, Leighton Duerksen.

Middle school: Laurie Clippard, Michael Reeder, Jacob Scholl, Lydia Meese; junior high: Karen Shanks, Jessie Beck, Emily Thompson, Jordan Fredrich, Choya McCafferty, Drew Hinkle, Morgan Petzoldt.

High school: Elizabeth Holshouser, Jennifer Tenholder, Tracy Burk, Ashley Reeder, Chelsea Dale.
