Daily Dunklin Democrat ~ BRAGG CITY, Mo. -- A tractor went up in flames Thursday near a highway, but no one was injured.

According to Capt. Paul Spain of the Kennett, Mo., Fire Department, an emergency call at 11:54 a.m. Thursday reported an industrial fire in a field near Bragg City on Route A.

Spain said a newer model Case International tractor had caught fire from the underside.

Jerry P. Combs of Kennett reportedly was driving the tractor at the time.

Fire personnel arrived on scene at 12:05 p.m. Firefighters battled the blaze for more than an hour before extinguishing the flames.

The tractor was a complete loss, but no injuries were reported.
