Battalion Chief Brad Dillow, of Cape Girardeau Fire and Rescue, and Debbie Maupin, of 911 Communications, participate in communications training outside the Osage Center in Cape Girardeau on Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010. Area first responders worked with the Missouri National Guard's Seventh Civil Support Team to practice communication techniques, including fax, email, video streaming, still image transfer, and phone access through land-line, satellite, and Internet, during a simulated remote emergency situation. Training will continue on Friday with simulated Hazmat response exercises near Sloan Creek in Cape Girardeau. (Kristin Eberts)
