PADUCAH, Ky. -- The heaviest rain has moved out of our area, for now.

This morning the National Weather Service in Paducah, Ky., put out a flood advisory for select counties in Southeast Missouri and Southern Illinois. That advisory is set to expire at 11 a.m., and weather service forecasters have no plans to issue another.

However light to moderate rain is expected to continue not just through Monday, but throughout nearly the entire week. The rain will be mixed with periods of thunderstorms tonight and Tuesday, according to National Weather Service forecasts. A high chance of showers remains in the forecast through Thursday.

Temperatures are expected to rise into the low 60s Tuesday because cooling back into the 40s Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
