The East Missouri Action Agency will prepare tax returns free for low-income people through its Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. Married couples earing less than $40,000, and single filers earning less than $29,000 can get the help through the IRS-sponsored program. Community volunteers have receive IRS training to help prepare the returns.

For more information call the East Missouri Action Agency office in Cape Girardeau at 334-5533. The program begins Feb. 7 and ends April 15.
