Women of this club are responsible for many of the community gardens that brighten the landscape throughout Missouri. Members also provide horticulture scholarships to the University of Missouri; share their knowledge with Scout troops, public school students, senior citizens and the disabled; maintain hiking trails through national and state forests; and contribute to world gardening and conservative efforts.

The Federated Garden Clubs of Missouri is affiliated with the National Council of State Garden Clubs, whose headquarters is in St. Louis.
