Gardeners in Cape Girardeau County can jump start the season by attending the second biennial one-day garden seminar conducted by the Jackson Men's Garden Club on March 12.

The day-long program, taught by authorities in both flower and vegetable gardening, will be held in the Cape Girardeau Vocational-Technical School, 301 N. Clark, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The lecturers, with time for questions and answers, will cover vegetable gardening, spring flowering bulbs, daylilies, unusual plants, flower arranging, lawn care and Missouri landscaping plants.

Faculty members will be Joe L. Sherinski, C.G. Creglow, Mary Blue (Lady Bug), Charlene Back, Ann Crites, Paul Schnare, Patricia Steinborn and Charles H. Korns.

A single registration fee of $10 for the entire day will be charged in advance, $12 at the door. Registration will be accepted until March 10 by Eldred Hargens, 3120 Independence, Chateau Estates No. 29, Cape Girardeau, Mo. 63701, or by calling 339-8529.
