GIRL SCOUTS GIVE AWARDS

Otahki Girl Scout Council held its annual Appreciation of Volunteers Dinner recently at Grace Methodist Church.

The annual event is held to salute troop leaders and other volunteers who have contributed outstanding service to girl scouting.

At the dinner Honor Pins were presented to: Renita Anderson of Perryville; Jean Bollinger, Claire Campbell and Jan Rigdon, all of Cape Girardeau; Terri Tomlin of Jackson; and Janet Wagganer of Fredericktown.

Appreciation Pins were presented to: Dolores Bossaler of Cairo; Donna Chappius of Perryville; Mike Cochran and Pat Smith, both of Cape Girardeau; and Linda Welter of Chaffee.

Recognition was given to Nancy Bray of Cape Girardeau, who served as the annual giving chairman. Ellen Kitchen and Pat Renard were honored as the council cookie chairmen for the council.

Community Awareness awards were also presented to the Cape Girardeau Downtown Merchants Association, Perryville Presbyterian Church, and Shoemaker Construction-National Cemetery Caretakers of Cairo for their community service in partnership with girl scouting.
