The eighth annual Regional Missouri Student Mathematics Contest was held recently at Southeast Missouri State University. Thirty-five schools and 265 students participated in the competition.

The contest was open to students in grades 4-6 in the areas of computation/estimation, concepts and problem solving.

Fourth grade winners were:

Computation/Estimation

First: Danny Henderson, West Lane Elementary, and Jason Murray, Seckman.

Second: Deanna Schreiner, Oak Ridge, and Ryan Stroder, West Lane Elementary.

Third: Tian Zhang, Clippard, and Adam Eftink, Guardian Angel.

Fourth: Martin Hoffman, Nell Holcomb, and Kalpesh Patel, Immaculate Conception.

Fifth: Brandy Davis, Washington, Tyler Buchheit, Perryville and Jonathan French, Advance.

Concepts

First: Tian Zhang, and Ryan Granger, West Lane Elementary.

Second: Brett Price, Nell Holcomb, and Jason Murray;
