River City Workers of the Blind organization of Cape Girardeau are working with the Bureau for the Blind in Sikeston to purchase toys for blind preschool children.

Children who will receive the toys are selected by the bureau and distribution is provided based on need.

This is the eighth year the River City Workers of the Blind has worked with the Bureau for the Blind on this Christmas project.

Money is raised by the organization at events held throughout the year.

Members of the club have also been volunteering their time at the Cape LaCroix Manner. In November they provided a luncheon for some residents and each month members visit residents.
