Saturday Kids Safe Halloween party from 1-4 p.m. Saturday at ARCH Air Medical Service hangar at the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport. The event includes games, entertainment, candy and prizes for a costume contest. Parents can receive Halloween safety tips and reflective strips for costumes and candy bags. An ARCH helicopter ambulance, a Cape Girardeau fire department engine and police cars and an ambulance from Cape County Private Ambulance will be on display...

Kids Safe Halloween party from 1-4 p.m.

Saturday at ARCH Air Medical Service hangar at the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport. The event includes games, entertainment, candy and prizes for a costume contest. Parents can receive Halloween safety tips and reflective strips for costumes and candy bags. Sunday Trunks of Fun from 7-8 p.m.

Sunday at First Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. Children are invited to come in costumes and trick or treat from trunks of cars. For information, call 334-9691.

Wednesday

Fall festival from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Wednesday at Fruitland Community Church in Fruitland, Mo. Events include a space walk, a basketball shoot, cake walk and clowns. Hot dogs, sodas and candy will be served. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Entry will be a canned food item to be donated to a local food pantry. Scary costumes are discouraged.

Trunk or Treat from 6-8 p.m.

Wednesday at Westside Church of God in Cape Girardeau. Children of all ages are invited for the neighborhood trick-or-treating event. For information, call 335-2124.

Family fall festival from 6-8 p.m.

Wednesday at Osage Community Centre, sponsored by Lynwood Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. There will be game booths for children age preschool through sixth grade. Refreshments and candy and door prizes will be awarded. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Scary costumes are discouraged. Admission is a canned food item for a local food pantry.

Tailgate party from 6-8:30 p.m.

Wednesday at Hobbs Chapel United Methodist Church. Children are invited to bring treats and dress in costume. Refreshments will be served. Call 334-3080 for details.

Trick or Treat Street Halloween fun from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Wednesday at Westfield Shoppingtown West Park. Children can gather for registration at 5 p.m. at the mall's main entrance. Costume judging will be from 5:30-7:15 p.m. in various age categories. Judging will be at the Famous Barr Court for infants up to age 4 and children 9-12; at JCPenney Court for children 5-8; and at the Pasta House Court for children 13 and older and groups. Top winners will receive gift certificates at the mall.

The event is sponsored by the Shoppingtown, Schnucks, Mix 104.7 and Gamma Phi Beta sorority.
