Officers will conduct a DWI checkpoint in Butler and Cape Girardeau counties to detect impaired drivers before they contribute to traffic accidents. According to the release, from May 2 through 13, the patrol will participate in Youth Alcohol Mobilization to remove impaired drivers from highways.

Missouri has a zero tolerance policy for underage impaired driving. Anyone under 21 caught driving while impaired will face a suspended driver's license.
