SIKESTON, Mo. -- Southbound Interstate 55 in Perry County will be reduced to one lane with a 12-foot width restriction this week as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform pavement repairs. The first section of highway is between mile markers 126 and 123, and the second section is from mile marker 118 to 115.

Work began Monday and will be finished by 3:30 p.m. Thursday, weather permitting. The work zones are marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use caution while traveling near the area.
