Southbound Interstate 55 in Perry and Cape Girardeau counties will be reduced to one lane while contractor crews perform concrete repairs. This section of road is from Highway 51 at Perryville, Mo., in Perry County to U.S. 61 at Fruitland in Cape Girardeau County.

Weather permitting, traffic will be reduced to one lane beginning at 7 a.m. Wednesday and will reopen around 6 p.m. next Friday.

Work will resume at 7 a.m. Nov. 1 and will end at about 6 p.m. Nov. 5. The work zone will be marked with signs.
