MATTHEWS, Mo. -- A man suspected of stabbing another man Tuesday morning at a Matthews truck stop has been released, while the investigation into the incident continues, the Sikeston Standard Democrat reported.

Around 8 a.m. Tuesday, the New Madrid County Sheriff's Department received a call regarding a stabbing at Love's Travel Stop, just off Interstate 55 in Matthews. Three truckers were involved in the incident -- a suspect, the victim, and a female with whom the victim was in a relationship, said Sheriff Terry Stevens.
