The Internal Revenue Service will present a program on income tax filing tips Feb. 23, at 7 p.m. at the Cape Girardeau Public Library.
Barb Johnson of the Internal Revenue Service will highlight 1994 changes, filing status, dependency exemptions, earned income credit, common errors to avoid, and will offer tips on other income tax matters.
Johnson has worked 15 years for the Internal Revenue Service, all but one of those years at the IRS office in the Federal Building in Cape Girardeau. There, she offers walk-in income tax filing assistance.
To register, call the library at 334-5279. The program is free and open to the public.
