JACKSON -- The Jackson Municipal Band will hold its weekly concert on Thursday at 8 p.m. at the city park band shell.
Tenor Nollie Moore Jr., a 1986 graduate of Jackson High School and a 1991 graduate of the University of Missouri, will be the special guest. Moore earned a degree in music education at the University of Missouri.
The instrumental portion of the concert will include: "Rondo", featuring Andrea Vrbosky as a French horn soloist, "Fantasy on American Sailing Songs," and "Emblem of Unity." In addition, there will be a collection of popular songs: "Pop and Rock Legends," "Pride of the Wolverines", and the theme from "Beverly Hills 90210."
