Power and Light Committee
-- Accepted the bid of Delta Star, Inc., of San Carlos, Calif., in the amount of $282,251 and authorizing the purchase of one substation power transformer.
-- Authorized a contractual agreement with Buchheit Inc., of Perryville relative to the redevelopment of certain property within the city of Jackson.
-- Accepted a storm water drainage easement from Appleton Valley Farm Inc.
Street Committee

-- Tabled a bill proposing an ordinance approving amendments to the Zoning Regulations of the City of Jackson.

-- Approved a joint resolution with the Cape Girardeau City Council and the Cape Girardeau County Commission expressing and reconfirming mutual support for planning and construction of three key highway projects of regional importance by the Missouri Department of Transportation.
-- Approved Pay Request #1 to Penzel Construction Co., Inc., in the amount of $84,173.04, under the Bridge No. U2150001 (Old Cape Road Bridge) Contract.
-- Approved the final plat of Rosewood Estates Fifth Subdivision.
-- Authorized the barricading of streets for the annual Veteran's Day Parade on Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 5 p.m.
-- Accepted the low bid of Lappe Cement Finishing Inc., of Perryville in the amount of $913,211.99 relative to the East Main Street Extension.
-- Set a public hearing for Monday, Nov. 16, at 7:30 p.m. to consider the application for a special use permit fo the establishment and operation of a beauty salon as a home occupation at 2233 Ridge Road as submitted by Mrs. Jodie Brown.
-- Set a public hearing for Monday, Nov. 16, at 7:30 p.m. to consider the rezoning request for Lots 3 through 13 of Sappington Court Subdivision from R-3 (general residential) to C-2 (general commercial) as submitted by Don Sappington.
-- Authorized American Legion Post 158 to use city streets for their annual Homecomers celebration scheduled for Aug. 17-21, 1999.
