Jackson residents, visitors and customers are encouraged to participate in a confidential online survey that will help develop a strategic plan to improve uptown Jackson.

Jackson was selected in 2010 as a Downtown Revitalization and Economic Assistance for Missouri Initiative community. The state initiative assists small to midsize communities in improving their historic centers. A $179,904 grant was awarded to fund the creation of a strategic plan, which will be provided by PGAV Planners of St. Louis after three years of study. Jackson has agreed to match 20 percent of the grant.
