A Jackson man died after a collision between two pickup trucks Wednesday on Highway 34 west of Jackson.
Carl Stinson, 83, driving a Ford Ranger, was turning left onto Highway 34 about 10:30 a.m. from Meier Meadows when his vehicle was struck by a Ford F-250 driving west on Highway 34, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol Sgt. Kevin Malugen.
The driver of the Ford F-250 was identified as 72-year-old Dennis Todd of Marble Hill, Missouri. Stinson was taken to Saint Francis Medical Center before dying from injuries suffered in the crash, Malugen said.
The highway patrol’s crash report states Stinson failed to yield to Todd.
Todd suffered minor injuries, Malugen said. The highway patrol’s major crash investigation unit investigated the scene of the collision.
