Andrea Penzel, Jackson's Little Miss Snowball has been crowned 1997 Little Miss Missouri at Miss Missouri Misses Pageant held July 19 in Mexico, Mo.

She is the daughter of Sandy and Phil Penzel of Jackson.

She performed a gospel song that truly entertained the crowd.

Brooke Burrows, also of Jackson, was chosen 2nd runner up in the Young Miss Missouri Division. She performed the country song "Blue."

She is the daughter of Larry and Dale Burrows of Jackson.

Nikki Hoover, Miss Christmas and daughter of W.W. and Susan Coburn of Dexter, also competed at the state competition.

Contestants followed the same guidelines that Miss Missouri and Miss America Pageants follow. There is an interview, swimsuit, evening weat and talent competitions.
