New blood will be taking over the leadership of Jackson High School next year. Elections were recently held, electing the 2000-2001 student body officers and class representatives. New blood will be taking over the leadership of Jackson High School next year.

Elections were recently held, electing the 2000-2001 student body officers and class representatives.

Next years Student Council and student body will be led by President Josh Tomlin and Vice President Todd Shelton. Six junior and six senior representatives were also elected. The StuCo will be fleshed out in the fall, with four additional junior and senior reps and 10 sophomores.

"I think this is going to be a good group," said Sarah Nussbaum, StuCo adviser. "They seem to be very energetic and very creative."

She noted that several members are planning to attend the annual Missouri Association of Student Council's annual leadership camp at William Woods College in Fulton next month.

"That's always a good thing," she said.

Senior representatives will be Wendy Blankenship, Jason Brown, Maggie Martin, Matt Proffer, Kaci Thompson and Joe Walter. Representing the juniors will be Autumn Clardy, Jennifer Goodwin, Matt Gordon, Pat Kohm, Kelli Niswonger and Jennifer Watkins.

Class officers will also be elected in the fall.
