KENNETT, Mo. -- "We're going to see how many kites we can get into the air," Will Mobley said about the second annual Community Kite Flying Event that he's having in his front yard.
The Kennett Chamber of Commerce Quality of Life committee will sponsor this year's event from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday.
Last year's event drew about 50 people to Mobley's yard to fly kites. "It was so much fun," Mobley said. "Everything that could happen, happened."
He said that around 3 p.m. the person with the highest-flying kite, or best homemade kite would be recognized.
