Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder will attend the White House Conference on Aging this weekend as one of four delegates appointed by Gov. Matt Blunt.

Kinder, a Cape Girardeau Republican whose job makes him the state's official senior advocate, will be joined by Rolla physician Jeffrey Kerr and two officials of the state Department of Health and Senior Services -- deputy director Nancie McAnaugh and project manager Betty Sims.

Each member of the Missouri congressional delegation selected a member and the policy committee for the conference selected four at-large delegates. In all, 1,200 delegates from across the nation will gather in Washington, D.C., this weekend to discuss policies concerning senior citizens.
