The Cape Girardeau Kiwanis club held its installation banquet Oct. 3 at the Holiday Inn.
New officers are Bill Heckert, president; Tom Brandtner, president-elect; James Banken, first vice president; Fred Horrell, second vice president; Ralph Stroud, secretary; Joe Anders, treasurer. Rick Blattner serves as immediate past president.
The new Board of Directors was also installed, Chris Adkisson, Lloyd Ervin, Glen Kinder, Gene Patterson, Rodney Phegley and Doug Stevens.
Several dignitaries and guests from the MoArk District joined the local club for the banquet. One of the special guests, past Kiwanis International president Ray Lansford awarded the Tablet of Honor plaques to 32 members for meritorious service to the club. Lansford was introduced by Harold Kuehle, a past Lt. Governor of the MoArk District.
The Kiwanian of the Year Award was presented to Ralph Stroud. The club's newest member, Dan Niswonger, was inducted.
