Lanes will be reduced on two highways in Cape Girardeau and Scott counties next week while MoDOT replaces guardrails and patches sections of roadway.

Highway 77 in Scott County will be reduced to one lane with a width restriction of 12 feet at the southbound exit ramp at Benton while crews replace guardrails. Work is scheduled to take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.

In Cape Girardeau County crews will patch the roadway on Highway 72 from Highway 34 to Route B, reducing the road to one lane with a 12-foot width restriction. Work will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
