Let's Dance It Out event put on by Authentic Voices and Dem Boyz at Indian Park Saturday, August 26, 2017 in Cape Girardeau. "Make change happen in the community." Koreena Woodson, co-chair, of Authentic Voices had said describing what she wants to do for the south side. Over 200 people came out to Indian Park throughout the day from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. with a kid dance contest at 4:30 p.m. Free food and face painting was available for anyone to attend and even the Cape Girardeau Fire Department came out and allowed kids to sit and look inside of a fire truck. Woodson said the point of the event was to bring the community together dance and have fun.
